My 'Jesus Loves Me' stationery holder

I made this stationery holder at Clay-Street.com during a team-bonding activity with my department in 2010. It was really fun (but not as easy as I thought) to create something unique and personal from a lump of clay. Whenever I look at this clay holder (still sitting nicely on my office desk), it will remind me of my Heavenly Potter.

But now, O LORD, You are our Father; We are the clay, and You our potter; And all we are the work of Your hand. ~Isaiah 64:8

May my Heavenly Potter continue to mould me into the woman of God that He has called me to. Amen.

Textiles Major Bag

This bag (my third item from ModCloth) has finally arrived from the US! Though it is bigger than I have expected, I love it! :)

Cupcakes

I have not been buying Twelve Cupcakes for months as there was no craving...till today! I bought a box of six and I ate FOUR (raspberry choc, cookies & cream, red velvet and nutella)! Yummy!

Daddy God, I pray that I will have no desire for sweet treats like cupcakes and donuts after these four cupcakes! Amen!

Online Shopping

As a working mother of two, I find it hard to shop leisurely in the malls. Recently, I have been shopping online more often.

I chanced upon this local online shop, My Glamour Place that sells pretty and reasonably-priced clothes. I bought two dresses and a blouse online but sad to say, one of the dresses and the blouse don't look good on me (they look very good on the model though)! Sigh, I had to give the two pieces away (see photo below). Well, it gave me the opportunity to remind myself that it's more blessed to give than to receive!

ModCloth (retro, indie, and vintage-inspired clothing styles) is an online shop based in US. They have a huge selection at their site! I really like their dresses so I bought two dresses under the $50 range. I received the dresses in a box last week. They look nice but I don't feel very comfortable in them. The pink dress is a bit low cut and the black dress has rather big armpit holes. I will still wear them with a tube underneath.

After several attempts of online shopping, I still very much prefer local shops where I can try the clothes, look at myself in the mirror and feel the comfort level before deciding if I should buy. Yes, I am giving up on online shopping for clothes now.

Shopping in Hong Kong

We have finally made a return to Hong Kong in June and I managed to do some shopping this time. L'OCCITANE products are cheaper in HK so I bought a shea butter lip balm stick (my girls have been using it too!) and a lip shine. Both products are pretty good!

Err...I spent quite some time at H&M central (leaving my girls with my poor husband) and I only managed to get two items from the ladies' section! But my husband picked HK$100 while waiting for me so it was kind of a little blessing to him. Ha! We spent it at Honolulu Coffee Shop right after we left H&M!

If you have read my earlier post, I have a favourite pair of  wedges which I bought it from HK. I was looking forward to visit this shop but I couldn't find a similar design. In the end, I picked two pairs of black wedges (buy-1-get-1-free). A little disappointed cos my old pair is so comfortable and easy to put on/take off. These new pairs need more effort because of the hooks. Well, thank God for new shoes anyway!

The Icing Room

I really like the concept of DIY cake decoration at The Icing Room. Kudos to the creator of this idea! The cakes are available in 3 sizes (4", 6" & 8") and 2 flavours (vanilla & blackforest). The vanilla- flavoured cakes are nicer in my opinion.

Thus far, I have bought a couple of DIY cakes from them and sent Sarabelle to their Junior Chef Workshops thrice. The two most memorable DIY cakes were the Mother's Day cake and my hubby's birthday cake.

Love them to bits! Looking forward to decorate more cakes in time to come. :)
